Dr. Tim Elmore – Raising Leaders: Guide to Parenting and Leadership
Dr. Tim Elmore is a best-selling author, leadership expert, and keynote speaker who’s trained more than 500,000 leaders in hundreds of organizations worldwide. He is also the founder and CEO of Growing Leaders, an Atlanta‐based non‐profit organization created to develop emerging leaders. His work grew out of 20 years of serving alongside Dr. John C. Maxwell.
Tim Elmore shares his rich experiences as a father, husband, and mentor, providing valuable lessons and strategies for raising confident and capable children. From discussing his favorite childhood pastime to the hilarious and somewhat embarrassing tales of his college days, Tim opens up about the moments that shaped him.
He also stresses the significance of humility, ownership, and the impact of a strong marital relationship on children. He introduces the concept of “chess and checkers” in parenting, urging parents to tailor their approach to the individual needs of each child.
Finally, Tim discusses his latest book “I Can’t Wait”, which is a collection of 52 inspiring stories about children making a difference. He explains how these stories can spark meaningful conversations between parents and children, and how they serve as a reminder that age is no barrier to making a significant impact.
